Meeting & conference venues in Amsterdam

Where to host or attend a meeting, congress or corporate event in Amsterdam: the RAI, historic city centre spaces, and modern venues in the Zuidas, and how to choose between them.

Last updated: 5 June 2026

Amsterdam is one of Europe’s busiest cities for congresses, trade fairs and corporate events. Whether you are hosting a large conference or booking a room for a board meeting, the choice comes down to scale, location and the impression you want to make.

The large venues

  • RAI Amsterdam. The city’s biggest exhibition and congress centre, built for large scale events and international trade fairs. It sits beside Amsterdam Zuid station, so it is easy to reach from both Schiphol and the city.
  • Beurs van Berlage. A landmark former stock exchange in the heart of the centre, now a flexible event space. It suits conferences and receptions that want a sense of place.

Smaller meetings and boardrooms

The Zuidas has the highest concentration of modern meeting rooms, often inside business hotels next to the offices your attendees are visiting. For a more memorable setting, the centre offers historic canal house venues and cultural spaces that work well for smaller groups and client facing meetings.

How to choose

Match the venue to three things:

  1. Format. A congress and a ten person board meeting have very different needs.
  2. Arrival points. Pick a location that is easy for most attendees, which usually means close to Amsterdam Zuid or the centre.
  3. After session logistics. Think about where people will eat and stay once the meeting ends, and choose a venue that keeps those short trips simple.
